Is MCT for you?

Thoracic Outlet SyndromeAlan, a 70+ year old injured worker presented to our center with chronic pain, muscle atrophy, limited range of motion in his left upper extremity as a result of two major shouldedr surgeries.

It is not funny at all learning that his first surgery was performed poorly by a knee specialist (this practice is still alive in Workers' Compensation System). He survived the massive and traumatic surgery with severe nerve and soft tissue damage. In order to reduce scar tissue and release pressure from the nerves, another surgery was done and left him with some blood clots in his brain, which caused permanent foot drop.

The positive part of this case was he responded really well to the initial 3 sessions of acupuncture-color and temperature of skin improved and pain level came down quite a lot. He was amazed at his progress and asked how a few needles could do this wonder. I told him it was called MCT...later he enjoyed reading more about MCT and would like to send my newest publication: Muscle Channel Technique for Lower Extremity Gout-A Case Series.

MCT RetapedAnother interesting phenomenon about Alan is that he enjoys the relief from MCT so much that he applied more tapes to secure the needles in place and also suggested his attorney to designate me as his AME (Agreed Medical Evaluator for represented cases) to address the complications such as RSD/CRPS and TOS...

MCT was not conceived for minor pains and sprains but tougher conditions such as gout, SAPHO, Morton's neuroma, etc.
