Gunilla, a 74 year old tennis enthusiast, came in August last year for a black eye after being hit by a tennis ball. Being impressed at the rapid healing with one acupuncture session, she asked if acupuncture could help her increasing eye pressure that is leading to glaucoma. With much experience and success in other glaucoma patients, I immediately laid out an acupuncture treatment plan and suggested she have her eye pressure checked every three months to evaluate her progress. This afternoon Gunilla just came out of her exam room and sent me an email with the good news. To her, acupuncture seems magic. To me, this is no surprise as she is just another case to my glaucoma database. Acupuncture is Evidence-Based Medicine!
